[GOODENSS SHOULD BE SEEN] (the “Contest”) Sponsored by 9Letters (the “Sponsor”)

Official Contest Rules (the “Rules”)

1. ELIGIBILITY

The Contest is open to (i) registered non-profits incorporated and in good standing under the Societies Act, SBC 2015 c. 18 (the “Provincial Organizations”); and (ii) federally registered charities in good standing that have their principal operations in the province of British Columbia (the “Federal Charitable Organizations” and, together with the Charitable Organizations, the “Charitable Organizations”). For the purposes of this Contest, “Eligible Charitable Organizations” means Charitable Organizations that satisfy all eligibility requirements set out in these Rules and are not otherwise ineligible.

Contest entries must be submitted by (i) legal residents of Canada who are (ii) 19 years of age or older and (iii) have received written permission to enter the Charitable Organization in this Contest from the Charitable Organization’s principal, owner, president, or chief executive officer (“Eligible Entrants”).

The Contest is not open to:

a) employees of the Sponsor, its parent, related and affiliated companies, subsidiaries, departments or agencies, franchisees, suppliers, advertising and promotional agencies, and any other parties engaged in the development, production or distribution of Contest materials, as well as those living in the same household;

b) any individual or entity currently receiving or has received within the prior 24 months paid advertising services as of May 11, 2026 from the Sponsor, Pattison Outdoor, PostMedia, Corus Media (collectively, the “Media Partners”); and

c) any individual or entity receiving paid advertising services from any entity whose principal business is providing advertising services.

By participating in this Contest, entrants acknowledge compliance with, and agree to be bound by, these Rules. Entrants who do not comply with any of the Rules are subject to disqualification by the Sponsor, in the Sponsor’s sole discretion.

2. TIMING

The Contest consists of:

a) the entry period which begins on or about 09:00:00 AM PST on June 1, 2026 and ends at 11:59:59 PM PST on June 26, 2026 after which time the Contest will be closed and no further entries will be accepted (the “Entry Period”);

b) the judging period which begins at or about 12:00:00 AM PST on June 29, 2026 and ends at 11:59:59 PM PST on July 24, 2026 (the “Judging Period”);

c) the interview period which begins at or about 12:00:00 AM PST on July 27, 2026 (the “Interview Period”); and

d) the winner announcement period, which begins at or about 12:00:00 AM PST on August 3, 2026 and ends at 11:59:59 PM PST on August 7, 2026 (the “Winner Announcement Period”).

3. HOW TO ENTER

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. During the Entry Period, Eligible Entrants may enter a submission by completing the Contest entry form at GoodnessShouldBeSeen.ca in accordance with the instructions provided (the “Entry”). Eligible Entrants will be required to answer and submit all the following questions and information:

(a) Charitable Organization Information: the full legal name, mailing address, city, website URL, and British Columbia Registered Society number or Canadian Registered Charity number;

(b) Eligible Entrant’s Personal Information: full name, email address, phone number and position or title with the Eligible Charitable Organization.

(c) Question Prompts:

(i) Tell us about your organization.

(ii) How would this advertising support your organization?

(iii) Why should we choose your organization?

(d) The Eligible Entrant must confirm each of the following. Failure to satisfy any requirement will result in disqualification, and the Entry will not proceed to scoring:

(i) As of June 1, 2026, the Charitable Organization is not engaged in an active advertising services relationship with an entity whose principal business is providing advertising services;

(ii) As of June 1, 2026, the Charitable Organization does not have and has not within the prior 24 months, paid advertisements with the Media Partners;

(iii) The Charitable Organization confirms that it has the capacity and resources to actively participate in campaign development activities commencing in August 2026, including timely engagement, content review, and provision of required materials; and

(iv) The Charitable Organization confirms that it has the capacity and necessary approvals to support and participate in a campaign launch during the period of January to March 2027, including fulfilling any reasonable implementation requirements.

The Entry must not:

(a) be obscene or offensive, or endorse any form of hate or hate group;

(b) defame, misrepresent or contain disparaging remarks about any person or entity, including but not limited to the Sponsor or its affiliates, as determined in the sole discretion of the Sponsor;

(c) contain any material that may, in the sole discretion of the Sponsor, infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party, including but not limited to, copyrights or trademarks owned by others. The Eligible Entrant must use its own material in the creation of the submission;

(d) contain, advertise or promote any third-party brand or product of any kind or contain any personal identification;

(e) contain material that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to laws; or

(f) contain obscene material, contain defamatory or libelous statements, invade privacy rights, exploit individuals or in any other way violate applicable laws and regulations.

There is a limit of one (1) Entry per Eligible Entrant. Eligible Entrants may only use one (1) email address to enter. Entries made using multiple email addresses or generated by script, macro, robotic, programmed, or any other automated means are prohibited and are subject to disqualification at the Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion.

The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Entry for any reason, in its sole and absolute discretion, including the determination in its sole discretion that the submission fails to satisfy any of the above guidelines, or is inconsistent with the goals, image, or policies of the Sponsor. The Sponsor further reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to edit (or to require the entrant to edit and resubmit) any submission entered that contains material that violates these Rules. Any Entry that does not follow the above format (as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion) will not be eligible for Entry in this Contest and will be discarded.

By entering this Contest, entrants agree to be bound by these Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and Judging Panel (as defined below) which are final.

4. JUDGING PERIOD

During the Judging Period, all eligible submissions will be judged by a panel of four (4) judges who are senior members of the 9Letters team across strategy, media, creative and production (the “Judging Panel”).

Subject to the Rules, the Entry will be assigned a total score out of 100 by each member of the Judging Panel, based on the following criteria:

Impact & Cause Strenght: weighted score 25

Storytelling Potential: weighted score 20

Alignment with Campaign: weighted score 20

Growth Potentialvia. Advertising: weighted score 10

Organizational Readiness: weighted score 15

Application Quality: weighted score 10

Total: 100 

The total result of the above scores will account for 100% of the overall score. The three (3) Entries with the highest overall scores will be short-listed for a follow-up interview (the “Interview Period”). Pending the completion of the interviews, one winner will be chosen(subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with the terms of these Rules). In the event of a tie for the top three (3) highest scores, the tied Entries will be re-judged by the Judging Panel against the above judging criteria and the three (3) Entries receiving the highest scores upon re-judging will move on to the Interview Period. Decisions of the Sponsor and Judging Panel are final and binding in all matters. The Sponsor will not disclose judging scores. The odds of being selected as a winner depend on the total number of eligible entries received and the above judging criteria.

On July 31, 2026 (the “Winner Announcement Date”) at 5:00 PM PST at 301-107 East 3rd Ave, Vancouver, BC and online at GoodnessShouldBeSeen.ca, one (1) winner will be announced by the Judging Panel after reviewing all submissions.

5. ENTRY VERIFICATION AND CONDITIONS

All submissions are subject to verification. Proof of submission does not constitute proof of entry in the Contest. Any attempt by an entrant to submit more than the stated maximum number of Entries by using multiple/different names, email addresses, accounts, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods, or has participated in any fashion not sanctioned by these Rules will void that entrant’s submission, the entrant will be disqualified from the Contest and, at the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor, any of the Sponsor’s other promotions. Entries that are lost, late, incomplete, illegible, or corrupted are void and will not be accepted. Entries that are found to be copies of other submissions previously entered in the Contest or to contain content plagiarized from other websites and/or publications will be void and will result in the Entry’s disqualification. All Entries and entrants are subject to verification at any time and for any reason.

The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to the Sponsor – including, without limitation, government issued photo identification): (i) for the purposes of verifying an individual’s eligibility to participate in this Contest; (ii) for the purposes of verifying the eligibility and/or legitimacy of an Entry and/or other information entered (or purportedly entered) for the purposes of this Contest; and/or (iii) for any other reason the Sponsor deems necessary, in its sole and absolute discretion, for the purposes of administering this Contest in accordance with the Sponsor’s interpretation of the letter and spirit of these Rules. Further, the Sponsor reserves the right to request the original for the purposes of verification. Failure to provide such proof and/or other materials to the complete satisfaction of the Sponsor within the timeline specified by the Sponsor may result in disqualification in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor. The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of this Contest will be the official time-keeping device(s) used by the Sponsor. Proof of transmission (screenshots or captures etc.) or attempted transmission of an Entry or of an attempted Entry or of any communication, does not constitute proof of delivery or receipt by the Sponsor.

6. PRIZE

There is one (1) prize available, consisting of up to $50,000 CAD worth of advertising services provided by 9Letters and up to $150,000 CAD in donated media provided by the Media Partners toward the development of a marketing campaign in British Columbia (the “Prize”), subject to the final allocation and availability of such media being determined by the Media Partners in their sole discretion, having regard to factors including, without limitation, the appropriateness of media channels for the client and campaign objectives, desired reach, available inventory, and production costs. The Sponsor will not be responsible for, and the winner will not receive the difference between the actual value of the Prize and the stated value of the Prize in these Rules or in any Contest-related correspondence or materials.

The Prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable or assignable (except as may be specifically permitted by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion). No substitutions are permitted, except at Sponsor’s option. The Sponsor does not make any representation or offer any warranty, express or implied, as to the quality or fitness of the Prize awarded in connection with the Contest. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the confirmed winner understands and acknowledges that they may not seek reimbursement or pursue any legal or equitable remedy from the Sponsor should the Prize fail to be fit for its purpose or otherwise is unsatisfactory in any way. For greater certainty and the avoidance of any doubt, by accepting the Prize, the confirmed winner agrees to waive all recourse against the Sponsor if the Prize or a component thereof does not prove satisfactory, either in whole or in part. If any activity relating to the Prize is cancelled or postponed for any reason, the Sponsor reserves the right not to award the Prize.

7. PRIZE NOTIFICATION

During the Winner Announcement Period, three (3) attempts will be made by the Sponsor or its representatives to contact the selected Eligible Charitable Organization and the Eligible Entrant via the email addresses specified in the selected Entry within two (2) business days of the Winner Announcement Date with further information on how to be confirmed as a winner and claim their Prize. If a selected entrant cannot be reached, for whatever reason, the entrant with the next highest criteria score may be selected at the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor. If a selected entrant cannot be reached within the time period specified in this Section 7, is not in compliance with these Rules, declines the Prize, or the email correspondence between the Sponsor and selected entrant is returned as undeliverable without a forwarding address, then the Prize may be forfeited by that selected entrant and the Sponsor reserves the right to select the entrant with the next highest criteria score from the remaining eligible Entries to award the Prize. The Prize will be awarded subject to these Rules and verification of the Prize winner. If a Prize is unclaimed on or before August 14, 2026, the Sponsor will select the entrant with the next highest criteria score to receive the Prize.

Before being declared a confirmed Contest winner and being eligible to claim the Prize, potential winners must:

(a) sign and return within five (5) business days of receipt, a declaration of eligibility and liability/publicity release (the “Release”) that (among other things):

(i) confirms the entrant’s eligibility and compliance with the Rules;

(ii) acknowledges acceptance of the Prize, as awarded;

(iii) releases the Sponsor and the Media Partners, and each of their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees and agents, from any liability in connection with the Contest and the Prize; and

(iv) release Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn Corporations (the “Platforms”) from any and all liability, claims, or damages, demands, actions or causes of action whatsoever, and acknowledges that the Contest is in no way sponsored by, or Associated with, the Platforms; and

(b) sign and return the Sponsor’s Advertising Agency Agreement.

Failure to complete and return the Release and the Advertising Agency Agreement within the specified time will result in automatic disqualification of the entry.

8. SPONSOR RIGHTS

The decisions of the Sponsor and/or the Judging Panel are final and binding, without right of appeal, with respect to all aspects of this Contest (including without limitation, eligibility and/or disqualification of Entries), and each entrant agrees to abide by the Rules and all the instructions and decisions of the Sponsor and/or the Judging Panel. In the event of any dispute regarding the interpretation of these Rules, the decision or interpretation of the Sponsor and/or the Judging Panel shall prevail.

In the event of a dispute as to who submitted an Entry, the Entry will be deemed to have been submitted by the holder of the email address that submitted the Entry as at the time of entry, meaning the person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, school district, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address (the “Authorized Account Holder”). The Selected Eligible Entrant may be required to provide the Sponsor with proof that they are the Authorized Account Holder of the email address associated with the selected Entry.

The Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual from the Contest, and to ban that individual from any future promotion of the Sponsor, if the Sponsor finds or believes such individual to be tampering with the entry or voting process or the operation of the Contest or where applicable, the Contest website or application; to be acting in violation of these Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass the Sponsor, the Sponsor’s agencies, other entrants or any other person.  ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.              

All Entries become the property of the Sponsor. Any Entry that is late, illegible, incomplete, altered, or contains false information, is invalid. The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected claims or entries or for any problems or technical malfunction of any internet or telephone network or broadcast transmission during the Contest. The Sponsor is not responsible for any errors or omissions with respect to the printing or advertising of this Contest and reserves the right to withdraw, amend or cancel this Contest in the event of a printing or administrative error.

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in these Rules, and without limiting any other rights of the Sponsor, the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, at any time and for any reason, without prior notice (except where required by applicable law), to:

(a) cancel, terminate, suspend, or modify the Contest, in whole or in part;  

(b) amend, revise, or supplement these Rules or any aspect of the Contest, including eligibility requirements, entry methods, timelines, judging criteria, prize details, or any other element of the Contest;  

(c) substitute, modify, reduce, or cancel the Prize or any portion thereof; and

(d) take any other action the Sponsor deems necessary or appropriate in the administration of the Contest.

Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Sponsor reserves the right to make such changes for any reason, including but not limited to: administrative, technical, operational, commercial, legal, or regulatory considerations; changes in business needs or priorities; unavailability of resources or partners; or any other circumstances, whether or not within the Sponsor’s control.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Sponsor and the Contest Entities will have no liability whatsoever to any entrant or any other person in connection with the exercise of such rights, including (without limitation) for any cancellation, termination, modification, or suspension of the Contest or any change to the Rules or Prize.

By entering the Contest, each entrant expressly acknowledges and agrees that the Sponsor may exercise its rights under this section at any time and waives any claim against the Sponsor arising from or relating to such exercise.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The Sponsor accepts no responsibility for loss, damage or claims caused by the awarded Prize or the Contest itself. By entering, entrant releases and holds harmless Sponsor, its affiliated and related companies and advertising, promotional agencies, and all of their respective directors, officers, shareholders, employees, agents, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Contest Entities”) from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the Contest or any Prize won.

Without limiting the release of liability provisions herein, and for greater certainty, the Contest Entities will not be liable for: a) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by the application or the Contest website users or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of Entries in the Contest; b) any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or delay in operation of the Contest website or application or any transmission in connection with the Contest; c) any communications line failure, theft, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, Entries; d) any problems with, or technical malfunction of, any telephone network or lines, or failure of mobile device or mobile web browser, computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, or failure of email which may occur for any reason whatsoever, including technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or text messaging system or combination thereof; or e) any injury or damage to entrants’ or to any other person’s computer or mobile device related to or resulting from participating or uploading or downloading materials in this Contest.  If the Contest is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other cause of any nature whatsoever beyond the reasonable control of the Contest Entities which corrupt or affect the administration, security or proper conduct of this Contest, the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion totake any such actions as set out in Section 8.

10. PRIVACY

Personal information collected from entrants will be used by the Sponsor for the purpose of administering this Contest. The Sponsor additionally wishes to send commercial electronic messages where permitted by applicable law, for marketing, promotional, and other business communications from the Sponsor, including communications about, services, offers, and events that may be of interest to the entrant. An opt-in affirmation will be provided at the time of the Entry.  Selecting “Yes” where prompted in the Entry questions on the website entry form, the entrant is opting in to receive commercial electronic messages from the Sponsor for this purpose. The entrant can unsubscribe at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions included in such communications. The Sponsor will not sell, share or otherwise disclose entrants’ personal information with or to third parties, other than third-party service providers engaged by them to fulfill the above purposes or as otherwise permitted or required by law.

The Sponsor respects the right to privacy of all entrants’ personal information. Entrants recognize that their personal information may be stored and/or processed outside Canada and, as such, it may be subject to foreign laws and it may be accessible to foreign governments, courts, law enforcement and regulatory agencies. 11. GOVERNING LAW

The Contest shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the laws of Canada as applicable therein.

12. ENFORCEABILITY

The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein.
